Our Story

Hi there!

My name is Lorrie Walker, Christian Gardening Coach and founder of Blooming on the Bench. I'm so glad you're here!

I have loved plants, flowers, and gardening for over 40 years! I had a small cut flower farm in Southern Oregon from 2015 until 2020, when we moved to Boise for my husband’s job. 

For the last six years, I’ve been studying gardening specific to the Treasure Valley while working seasonally as a plant specialist for specialty garden centers.  Every day, it’s my delight to educate my clients about gardening and plants, soil and light and water and so much more, setting my people up for success and hopefully, a lifelong love of the garden.
